Dungeness Pop-up studio 2016

This Sunday 13th August I will be setting up my pop-up
daylight studio at Dungeness RNLI Lifeboat Station
as part of their annual Open Day fundraiser.
RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea..

These portraits of volunteer lifesavers were taken at a makeshift outdoor
studio at Dungeness lifeboat station in Kent, and form part of an ongoing
project recording life on Romney Marsh.
From 26th April to 2nd May 2016 the RNLI will be fundraising as part of 
their annual MayDay appeal. 

UPDATE
Wendy's next 'pop-up' portrait studio will be at Dungeness lifeboat station

Just One Word - Photography Exhibition
These pictures are being shown as part of a group photography exhibition celebrating the work of the Willow Foundation
I was privileged to be invited to create a new portrait of one of Willow's beneficiaries, highlighting the positive
impact of the Special Days they give to seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds...
'Just One Word' celebrates Willow's 10,000th Special Day.

THE TAYLOR WESSING PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAIT PRIZE 2012 opens at London’s National Portrait Gallery today, and I am absolutely thrilled that my picture has been chosen by the judges for the exhibition.


I am also extremely honoured that the gallery has chosen to feature my picture on the front cover of the exhibition catalogue, and also as part of the exhibition poster campaign


SOPHIE is part of an on-going personal project entitled BEAUTIFUL & WILD – a series of portraits of models wearing re-cycled clothing photographed against the backdrop of The Romney Marshes in Kent. Sophie is wearing a charity shop dress and a faded Union flag, and was photographed in a bus shelter by the sea..


There are sixty photographs on show at the exhibition chosen from a total submission of 5,340.

CIRCUS 2012

it was a privilege and a treat to be granted access to photograph John Lawson's circus last week.
The whole troupe work incredibly hard under the big top and behind the scenes to put on a great traditional show
of tightrope, juggling and slapstick..
Between climbing ropes + selling candy floss they were kind enough to give me their time.
