Originally commissioned for an advertising campaign, this picture was inspired by the famous Mainbocher Corset photographed by 20th century master photographer Horst P Horst whose original photograph is currently on show at the V&A as part of an excellent retrospective of his work. Also included in the exhibition are many of his 90+ covers for Vogue...!
